My Story

UPDATE:

THANK YOU!!! We are incredibly grateful to colleagues and the school community, our family and friends who once again got us to the €5,000 target! I honestly wasn't sure we could do it a second time, so I am really humbled by and appreciative of your generosity.

*****************************************

We did it! We baked, we wore denim, we ate, we talked, we shared stories, we remembered and celebrated loved ones and then a brave group of us trooped down to the 40 Foot and jumped in! Photos (carefully selected) to follow.

Thank you so much for donating - the page will remain open for a while longer, so if you would like to share it on your own social media, we would be really grateful!

Thank you!

Denim Day for Dementia takes place nationwide on the 27th of February!

In the King's Hospital School, we have seen for ourselves just how many of our school community know someone impacted by and/or living with dementia, and we realise just how important the work of the Alzheimer Society is.

We are asking everyone in the school community to show their support by donating to this important cause. We raised an incredible €5000 last year! So that's our goal again this year! Every euro counts and we are grateful for anything you can give. I started off with a donation of €25 which is .5% of that total...€50 is 1%. We are so appreciative of anything you can give, and if you can share this page with people you know, or on your socials, thank you in advance!

The staff will wear their best denim outfits, hold a bake sale and then a few brave colleagues will head for a cold water sea swim! Weather permitting, the swim will happen on the same day as Denim Day.
